What A Success!
What an incredible turnout! The Ruby Project was an overwhelming success, far exceeding our expectations, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. The level of enthusiasm and engagement from the community has been truly heartwarming. We received countless applications, each more inspiring than the last, all driven by a shared passion: a deep, unconditional love for their furry companions. Every single submission showcased the bond between pets and their owners in such unique and meaningful ways. The feedback has been nothing short of amazing, with so many people expressing how the project touched their hearts and sparked new ways to appreciate their pets.
Showcasing Some Of Our Favorite Pups!
We had the pleasure of welcoming so many unique and adorable pups into our studio, and we couldn’t have been more excited to meet each and every one! It was truly heartwarming hearing your stories and getting to know both you and your furry companions on a personal level. Every pet brought something special with them, and their personalities shined through in every moment. However, there were a few paws that truly stood out, leaving a lasting impression on our hearts.
Justice and Bella: For 13 wonderful years, Justice and Bella have been Mary’s constant companions, filling her life with love, joy, and unwavering loyalty. As they grow older, Mary wanted a special way to cherish and celebrate the bond they’ve shared—a way to freeze time and hold onto the moments that mean the most. With their sweet faces and loving hearts, these two have been by her side through every high and low, making every day brighter. This portrait is more than just a photo; it’s a heartfelt tribute to her beloved friends and the incredible journey they’ve shared together.
Blu and Basil: Blu and Basil, two spirited Italian Greyhounds, are more than just pets—they are beloved members of the Vandenlangenberg family. With their sleek, elegant frames and expressive eyes, these two bring endless energy and charm to every moment. Their playful nature and deep bond with their family made capturing their portraits an absolute joy, as they posed with curiosity and a touch of mischief. As the owner of The Wagg Inn, a premier pet resort right here in De Pere, Sara understands the special connection between pets and their people, and Blu and Basil are a testament to that love. Their portraits are a beautiful reflection of the joy and companionship they bring to their family every day.
Sadie and Ellie: Sadie and Ellie, two lively Golden Retrievers, came into the studio with their owner, Jenny, full of energy and excitement. Jenny had applied for the Ruby Project in hopes of capturing long lasting memories with her beloved pups. She mentioned that, the previous summer, she had worked with another photographer but wasn't pleased with the photos she received. With Sadie getting older, Jenny wanted to make sure she had meaningful pictures to cherish.
Their session at the studio was filled with laughter and joy, and Jenny couldn't have been happier with how it went. The experience was not only fun but also gave her the chance to create new, lasting memories with her girls. Since then, she has returned to the studio, absolutely over the moon with her photos. She expressed how grateful she is for the opportunity Harmann gave her, saying that it meant so much to have stunning portraits of her precious girls that she can treasure forever. We were truly honored to capture beautiful images for Jenny, giving her cherished memories of Sadie and Ellie that she’ll treasure for years to come.
Loki: Right before graduating college, Briana was going through a rough time and considering getting a dog as an emotional support animal. Fate intervened when her aunt texted—someone had abandoned a puppy on her friend’s porch. Without hesitation, Briana took him in, and from that moment, Loki became her rock.
Now 10 years old, Loki is a happy, quirky pup who greets with a hug and a signature wet willy. His expressive ears and love for cuddles make him one of a kind, but his favorite person will always be Grandma (Briana’s mom). Through life’s ups and downs, Loki has been her constant, proving that sometimes, the best companions come when we need them most.
Hilda: Becky’s bond with Hilda began even before she was born. Nearly 15 years ago, while working alongside her husband at the Humane Society, Becky met Hilda’s mom, who had been surrendered. A few weeks later, Hilda entered the world, and because she shared the same coloring as another sweet dog who never found a home, she was given a name in her honor. From that moment on, she became Becky’s shadow.
Throughout the years, Hilda has welcomed every foster and new family member with open paws, embracing each change with love and acceptance. Despite her age, she still has plenty of spunk, often chasing after and even wrestling with her much younger canine siblings. Her loyalty, gentle heart, and playful spirit have made her an irreplaceable part of Becky’s life—a true testament to the love of a lifelong companion.
In The End

Your support and participation have been invaluable, and as a heartfelt thank you, we’re thrilled to announce that the Ruby Project will now be an annual event! This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to continue celebrating our furry companions with you year after year.
